IntroductionAre you a Master student in Data Science or Mathematics with an affinity for data analysis and experience with machine learning? Then this internship assignments could be interesting for you! Job MissionFor all ASML DUV scanners the performance of the projection lens is measured daily during production. A tremendous amount of data is generated and stored. This data is already used for diagnosis in case of lens issues. However, we do not monitor the data to track the health of the projection lens and raise a flag before an issue occurs.Job DescriptionUse the existing database to develop tooling to actively monitor the health of the projection lens and define a method for failure prediction.
To start you will classify known failure modes and show that it is possible to predict these failures reliably and accurately. This can be extended to recognize any type of lens failure and/or abnormality.
The final goal would be to define and present a dashboard that displays the health of the entire installed base population based on the classified failures to showcase the feasibility.

EducationYou are a Master student in Data Science or Mathematics with an affinity for data analysis and experience with machine learning. You have good communication skills and you are fluent in English. You are independent and able to think out-of-the-box. Experience with MATLAB is required.
