The platform group in the software architecture department within D&E is responsible for the software architecture that supports all the lithographic systems e.g. modularity, data architecture and execution architecture, patterns, rules and guidelines, as well as the definition and SW architecture of the increments for new products.Job DescriptionASML’s lithography machines run with large and complex software. This software evolves to support newer generations of machines. A team of Platform Architects, outlines the direction/roadmaps for e.g. modularity, data and execution architecture. The Function Software Architects define/evolve the architecture within those outlines. Your task is to coordinate the Function Software Architects and ensure alignment with the other Platform Architects.
As a platform architect, you:
-Are the chairman of a multi-site meeting where decisions on architecture topics are aligned and deployed.
-Ensure that the function architects have the right level of expertise and access to relevant information to do their job.
-Contribute to the platform architecture team for one or more specific architecture improvementsEducation-MSc/PhD in software engineering / computer science.Experience-10 years of experience in software architecture for complex high-tech systems for teams of at least 20 software developers
