Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer you are tasked with designing and developing of automation frameworks for the deployment, management, and monitoring of the software development platform. You are a high-quality (infrastructure and application) coder and, as such, you author tools that improve developer capacity and productivity. With an focus on innovating and maintaining the software development platform.
This is a collaborative role where you work hand-in-hand with the development teams and the IT department. With your collaborative capacity, you will also be supporting technical teams by using technical analyses (with data analytics) in order to improve the scalability and reliability of entire system.
You will work closely with the DevOps architect and management in balancing the requirements for performance, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of our department.
Education
Formal education should include HBO+ or Academic level education in Computer Science (or related field). Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years puppet development experience (must)- Linux and Windows server and desktop configuration- Develop a complex puppet code base - Scripting languages: e.g. Bash, PowerShell and Python- Strong documenting capabilities (technical designs and runbooks)- Good command of English The candidate should have as a plus knowledge in at least two of below areas: - General software development skills- Software Configuration Management (based on Git)- Management with tools such as Splunk, InSpec- Base Knowledge of storage, network and database solutions

Context of the position
The Engineering IT Software (EIS) group within ASML is responsible for the environment (software and hardware) used by ASML software developers in order to produce commercial software products. This environment consists of an integrated development, build, test and release environment and must be capable to support Continuous Integration throughout the lifecycle and configuration management of the ASML product software.
