System Integration Engineer Job Description

Introduction

Then, you may be the ideal candidate to fulfil the position of “MPS D&E System Integration Engineer”.

Job Mission

• Maintain the two PAS5500 Proto Systems and keep the machine performance as required.
• Contribute to system integration on PAS5500 Proto systems, which includes machine performance, machine/human safety and availability.
• Make sure that all modules and their interfaces are properly tested, the machine functions as intended, issues are solved by the projects, and prototype machines are upgraded.
• Ensure optimal use of the machines by optimally planning and prioritizing the machine time requested by users from different departments

• Keep the two proto machines (a PAS scanner and a PAS stepper) up and running:
  • Maintain proto machines within system specification and test required status 
  • Trouble-shoot the machines in case of issues, make sure they get back to work a.s.a.p.
  • Coordinate and execute hardware / software upgrades
• Ensure optimal use of the machine time on the two protos:
  • Make, own and update machine time planning
  • Collect machine time requests from different parties (in particular D&E and CS), plan the time, communicate plans and changes
  • Maintain proto system information web page with machine status, planning, document overviews, etc.
• Execute tests for development projects:
  • Review test specifications, summarize and communicate test plans
  • Arrange test resources like technical support, material and tools, …
  • Execute test plans according to agreed integration plan, including design qualifications, software patch testing, qualification of new parts
  • Write or contribute to test reports and provide feedback on status of issues
  • Collect integration issues and make sure there is follow up by project teams

System Integration Engineer Job Requirements

Education
Technical University Masters or Bachelor in Engineering, or related

Experience

• Experience in PAS5500 Scanner system maintenance, system set-up, installation, and services.
• Experience on both Scanner/Stepper systems is a plus.

• Good communicational skills and good knowledge of English
• Responsibility and strong ownership and drive
• Strong pragmatic attitude with an analytical view
• Candidate should be able to work independently in a dynamic explorative environment
