Job Description
Successful candidate will work directly with coating engineering staff and technicians using state of the art vacuum deposition equipment, will help oversee current production processes and assist in developing future processes.
Create detailed process documentation. Perform detailed vacuum system characterization
which will include optical coating chemical evaluation. Candidate will also assist in trouble shooting equipment problems and help establish maintenance protocols.
-Proficient with Optical Thin design software (with emphasis on Filmstar. TF Calc or Optilayer a plus) for development, process improvement and problem diagnosis.
-Experience in PVD processes including electron beam, IAD, sputter processes. Experience in the DUV, visible. PECVD a plus.
-Very hands support of existing production processes and active involvement with process improvement.
-Able to provide detail instructions and oversight of technicians, interact with engineers and management.
-Self-managed and organized.
-Program management capabilities a plus.
Education
BS desired in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent experience. Experience2+ years in optical coating, vacuum deposition processes for optical applications, vacuum chamber operation, optical coating design.
IAD and sputtering experience a plus. PECVD +.
Thin film coating design software experience (Filmstar, TF Calc, Optilayer).
Possess good computer competency. Personal skills-Candidate must be hands on.
