EUMETSAT is Europe’s meteorological satellite agency. Its role is to establish and operate meteorological satellites to monitor the weather and climate from space - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This information is supplied to the National Meteorological Services of the organisation's Member and Cooperating States in Europe, as well as other users worldwide.
EUMETSAT also operates several Copernicus missions on behalf of the European Union and provide data services to the Copernicus marine and atmospheric services and their users.

Your role at EUMETSAT
We are looking for an experienced Requirements and Verification Engineer to co-ordinate our engineering activities which will develop, maintain and evolve our ground systems for our own satellite systems and the Copernicus satellite systems exploited by EUMETSAT. You will understand the industry standards required, evolving our Requirements Management and Verification tool ecosystem to reflect the needs of our users. Key to this role is driving forward new evolutions of our processes and sharing these across the organisation. You will also support the analysis, management and verification of Requirements at various levels, from satellite system via ground system to facilities.
With proven experience of theoretical and operational Requirements and Verification Engineering, you should be adept at using and customising RM tools, preferably IBM Rational DOORS. Model based Systems Engineering experience would be desirable along with recognised certification or accreditation in this field of engineering. This is a role where you need to collaborate with others, so you will need to be a team player, with the ability to plan, analyse and present technical information clearly. This is a complex, international environment, so it is essential that you have a high-degree of interpersonal awareness.
