Introduction
This is an internship, with a possibility for a graduation assignment, for a Bachelor student Industrial Engineering who has affinity with Lean Management.
Job Mission
ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. These systems are critical to the production of computer chips. Within ASML the Twinscan Factory (TF) is responsible for the production of these systems. TF is in a transition phase toward a lean manufacturing organization. The student will contribute by facilitating the improvements necessary for TF to become the role model Lean Factory.
A division within TF is Module build (10 dept’s, 13 Team Leads, 1 Group Lead) where the lean way of working and visual management needs further improvement.
Job Description
You will further develop the operational steering mechanism following Lean working principles.
This entails:
- Bring coherence into visual management boards
- Setting up the performance management structure
- Setting up a Continuous improvement structure
- Improve processes & pan out ideas
- Facilitate working groups
- Develop skills as project lead
Education
You are a Bachelor student Industrial Engineering in your final year and have affinity with lean management. You have good communication skills in English and you are able to work with strong personalities. Besides that, you are decisive and on your best in a dynamical environment.
This is an apprentice internship with a possibility for a graduation assignment. The internship has a minimal duration of five months and is four days a week. Please keep in mind that we can only consider students (who are enrolled at a school during the whole internship period) for our internships and graduation assignments.
