We are looking for a high tech capital equipment marketing professional with keen business acumen to enhance Product Portfolio Marketing within the Group and Field Marketing Department in the Corporate Strategy and Marketing sector.

Job Description
As Strategic Marketing Manager, you
- Analyze the industry environment and forces.
- Shape marketing strategy and tactics to maintain and increase long term profitability.
- Leverage your internal and external network, and build a strategy to increase our market shares.
- Collaborate with business lines in identifying business development opportunities based on current and future customer lithography and/or metrology application needs and competitive trends.
- Define the required competitive intelligence and establish, collect and maintain the marketing intelligence database
- Are recognized as the ‘Go-To’ Person i.e. The ASML Marketing Expert in Logic, DRAM, 3DNAND.
- Proactively support the Business Lines in ‘Product Positioning” and Developing Sales kit.
- Provide the Sales and Account support teams with “ Why Buy’ Marketing Material
- Provide input to the product generation process on customer requirements, product positioning and differentiation vs competitor and alternative solutions to ensure the business case is solid.
- Extract well founded, data based yet simple messages for cross-sector communication towards Business Lines, ExCom, Strategy Team and other stakeholders.
- Implement structural solutions and be transparent in successes as well as mistakes, guided by awareness of customer impact.
In this position you will be travelling internationally up to 15% of your time.
Education
MSc / PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or a related subject
- Experience in preferably a technical marketing role in semiconductor equipment industry.
- Functional knowledge of Customer Roadmaps, Customer Patterning Requirements, Lithography equipment, CD & Overlay Metrology, Process design rule setting and/or Yield analysis & optimization.
- Experience in translating technical analysis into management level decision making analysis, preferably for both financial as well as technical decisions;
- Experience in dealing with customers or demonstrate a strong understanding of what is required in such a role.Personal skills- Self-propelling , Pro-active with Business acumen;
- Team player who builds bridges across multiple disciplines
- Creativity & ability to think outside of the box;
- Comfortable in presenting & communication to senior management;
- Ability to distill complex issues or subjects into simple and effective messages;
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English;
- Adherence to quality behavior. Deliver complete, checked and qualified work.
- Analytical, Structured and Data driven.
Context of the position
ASML’s marketing organization, part of the Corporate Strategy and Marketing sector, is responsible for aligning the (future) ASML product offering to Customer Roadmaps and across the Product Groups. We support Account Teams in creating maximum product value recognition by our customers. Based on consolidated market knowledge we support ASML’s Strategic Process.
