Introduction
Can you lead, coach and inspire a team of senior software architects? Can you lead this team to evolve the Software Architecture such that the ASML scanner product roadmap can be executed efficiently? If so, then your destiny in pushing the limits of science awaits you at ASML.
Job Mission
Central to your role as manager is to lead a team of ASML’s most experienced software architects. These are platform architects that drive changes in software architecture and collaboration, and software product architects that specify software increments for new products. These increments can be functional as well as structural improvements, including introduction of new software technologies.
Within the software product families there is a large amount of re-use, and there is a constant wish of our customers for new features on existing products in order to stay on the cutting edge of lithography. This requires a strong but evolving architecture.
Job Description
With your team you will make the software architecture roadmap and execute it. You communicate and deploy the architecture, you create the bandwidth for change. You will have frequent interaction with other ASML software managers and architects but also partner outside ASML. Most importantly, you will optimize the contribution of each member of your team by focusing and building on each member’s individual strengths.
Main responsibilities:
- Execute and communicate the architecture roadmap
- Initiate enabling technologies
- Coach seniors in their job and optimize their impact
Education
University level degree in science, PhD preferred.
Experience
At least 10 years of hands on experience in developing software and software architecture in an industrial production environment. A profound software engineering background, ideally combined with some hands-on project management involving direct customer contact.
