Job Mission
ASML Research is looking for a Scientist/engineer with expertise diamond coating and particular in the process of apply it at low temperatures. The Flow&Temperatur group focusses on flow, temperature, contamination and tribological challenges for the next generation Lithography Tools. The expert will work in a multidisciplinary team and will be responsible for the coating aspects in the project.

Job Description
Your responsibilities and daily activities will be:

• To interface with suppliers and possibly co-develop an inert (e.g. diamond) coating on a ceramic body with a supplier.
• To generate and test solution to  coating processing to meet the challenging requirements on : Adhesion, strength and life time of the coating  
• Surface roughness of the coating    
• Substrate deformation 

Diamond Coating Specialist Job Requirements

Education
Technical University PhD/Master with  background  in Physics, Chemistry or Mechanical / Materials Engineering with expertise in diamond coating processing.

Experience
Broad knowledge and experience in inert (Diamond/SiC) coating processing and coating design.

Personal skills

• Open to learning techniques outside of the above mentioned fields in the future. 
• Autonomous, whilst having a drive to work and cooperate within a highly skilled team of experts towards a common goal.
• Inquisitive and strong personality.
• Pragmatic attitude with an analytical view.
• Able to communicate effectively across disciplines and at all organizational levels.
• Fluency in English.
