Description
As Production Manager you will lead and manage the workforce in the plant with clear policies, guidelines and targets to ensure the optimal Product Quality, Employee Satisfaction and Customer Delight. With a focus on target delivery the production manager manages the daily performance of the plant on all relevant KPI. You will be budget holder for the number of associates within the plant. Of course your vision of the plant will support Lightyears profit and growth objectives. Furthermore you will support the development, implementation, communication and application of Lightyears policies and programs covering KPI based reporting and attainment of objectives. In this role you will report directly to our operations manager.
You will focus on the facility in Helmond, with the intent to act as a halo plant for all future Lightyear facilities. The plant will start as a development facility, building prototypes and validating engineering assumptions, creating the final production process and logistics flow to be ready for production in 2020.
Within the role there are 2 distinct tasks: Create a prototyping facility to develop Lightyear One (LY01) and transition this facility into a production facility for small series production. As production manager you will:
