As Group Leader in ASML’s Software System Development department you will be active at the cutting edge of physics, mechatronics, mechanics, and software development. So obviously you will need excellent technical skills. But it’s not just your own performance that you must optimize. Central to your role as Group Leader is your insight into the different skill sets and motivational factors of each individual member of your team.
This insight is essential, because it will enable you to correctly align targets with personalities and thereby optimize your team’s day-to-day performance. This will enable you to set-out and navigate a roadmap of required expertise and thereby ensure that ASML will continue to push the boundaries of software development in years to come.

Job Description
You will manage the development of in-product software metrology solutions by leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers.
You will have frequent interaction with customers and also with partners outside ASML. But most importantly, you will optimize the contribution of each member of your team by focusing and building on each member’s individual strengths.
Main responsibilities
- Allocate projects and agree targets with the best-suited persons(s) for that job
- Coach group members in their job and optimize their personal growth
- Create, maintain and validate enabling technologies
- Work with other ASML departments to ensure on-time and on-budget competitive products
Education
University level degree in computer scienceor other relevant field.
Experience
At least 10 years of experience in developing (metrology) software solutions in an industrial production environment.
A profound engineering background, combined with several years of hands-on project management involving direct customer contact.
Personal skills
- Flexible, pragmatic and determined
- Good communications skills and fluent in English
- Entrepreneurial spirit
