EUV Upgrades Coordinator (Development and Engineering)
Introduction

Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, which is also the home base for this vacancy. From this home base, you are expected to travel a minimum of one month per quartile to customer sites across the globe to support our service teams.
The months at home base are spent on actively following up potential improvements, ensuring issues do not reoccur, supporting colleagues that are working at customer sites at that moment, training, and so forth. We are looking specifically for people who have the potential and are willing to grow further in the Design and Engineering teams of ASML.
Job Mission
As an upgrade coordinator, you monitor, support, and steer the team of engineers at the customer site on a daily basis, working in shifts with the engineers. Your planning, organization, and communication skills are crucial to their functioning and success.
You are the interface from the chip factory to the outside world, ensuring team safety is secured, issues are properly adressed, materials are available, daily goals are set and met, communication with technical support, management, and customer contacts is arranged and maintained, logistic services are contacted to secure timely delivery of materials, etc. Note that the shift schedules for coordinators include 12-hour night shifts.
Job Description
- Be an ASML ambassador at customer sites across the globe
- Work with the local (at the customer site) and Veldhoven organizations to plan and make all necessary preparations for the on-time execution of a set of service activities
- Ensure timely availability of the right means, manpower, methods, materials, and tooling to bring the lithography system to the best performance level
- On-site coordination of activities, including: manpower scheduling, parts, tooling, daily planning for engineers, and communication with the project manager and various levels of technical support
- Deal with fast-changing circumstances and change plans accordingly on the spot
- Assist other service actions by helping to resolve and follow-up issues, remotely assisting colleagues from the Veldhoven home base, and representing the project in progress and review meetingsIdentify, document, and drive improvements with respect to safety, quality, cycle time, and efficiency
- Daily reporting of progress and issues towards project management and the Veldhoven-based team
- Transferring knowledge concerning the serviced system to the local engineers to allow them to sustain the system by themselves (contributing role)
- Create evaluation report at the end of the service activities (contributing role)
- Travel required conform a 4x4 schedule: 1 month per quartile is the minimum commitment required for this role
Education
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in an engineering field (for example: electronics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, etc.)
Experience
- Experience leading, planning, and/or coordinating engineering or other technical activities
- Technical customer support experience much appreciated

Context of the position
The D&E EUV Upgrades department is part of the larger Development and Engineering department of ASML. It centralizes requests for customer support and service activities from the Customer Support department to the Development and Engineering department. D&E EUV Upgrades has a counterpart in the Customer Support department with which it collaborates closely.
