The Networking Division is looking for a SW Release Engineer, who will cooperate and share responsibilities with other Release Engineers in the ND SW group by owning and managing ND SW Projects builds. In this area you will be responsible for acceptance of components and looking for incorrect submittals, project's Build Acceptance Test BAT submissions, projects' builds publishing, distribution of builds' information, resolving certification file signing warnings and for each project build's you will be responsible for layout changes.
As a Release Engineer you will also own and manage Software Legal Compliance SWLC Master IP Plan, what comes down to conduct a weekly license checking for all projects' components, interfacing with the ND SW review board for IP-Plans approvals, ownership of quarterly Developer Attestation list and finally website maintenance and interfacing with Intel outside of ND SW for information requests.
You will be important part of our organization, because through your hands will come the most important announcements about coming Releases. You will own the creation and distribution of the weekly ND SW Engineering Summary notification, which will based on updates from Program Managers and key players, have to be synced with the ND SW Roadmap schedule. You will be "a trigger" for all validation teams by informing them, which project's build they should use for their testing.
As a Release Engineer, you will be strongly involved into new SW feature request approval process, because you will be responsible for ND SW builds' layouts, which must be created accurately. In your hands we will put a responsibility for owning and managing the Release CD builds, what gives you an opportunity to verify if correct component versions at major milestones were submitted to those containers.
A challenge for you will be also to track Project Releases. You need to act as a liaison for the certification team. Follow the certification process from pre-certification all the way through the issuance of certification files for Microsoft Windows drivers.
You will also closely work with Change Control Board CCB community, by creating new records for monitoring new feature request implementation and validation. Broadly speaking, as a Release Engineer, you will work with all ND SW teams in our organization and you will actively acting in the Project Life Cycle as you will be a part of each stage of ND SW delivery, especially responsible for the latest final SW product delivered to our customers.

The Data Center Group DCG drives new products technologies from high-end co-processors for supercomputers to low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, as well as solutions for big data and intelligent devices. The group is a worldwide organization that develops the products and technologies that power nine of every ten servers sold worldwide. Intel's Network Division ND is a division of DCG.
ND provides Ethernet Connectivity for Enterprise, Client and Embedded Customers including Silicon Components, Network Interface Cards, Drivers and Collaterals. ND's current product portfolio includes 10Gb, 25Gb and 40Gb Ethernet host adapter and switch silicon, IA based communications infrastructure platforms as well as Software Defined Networking SDN and Network Function Virtualization NFV software solutions. We are also developing state-of-the-art technologies like 100 Gigabit Ethernet or networking hardware and software for Software Defined Infrastructure SDI, High Performance Computing HPC and Big Data.
ND Software ND SW team in Gdansk is a critical part of a bigger ND SW organization located also in United States, Ireland, Israel, China and Canada. Our main expertise areas are network drivers and applications working with a variety of operating systems Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, ESXi, Solaris and UEFI, virtualized ESX, Hyper-V, KVM and pre-boot environments BIOS, UEFI. We are also contributing in other areas like hardware diagnostic tools or encryption software and firmware.
Our new assignment is active participation in developing Smart NIC technology, which extends Ethernet capabilities for customized needs of our customers. Networking Division Group in Poland is also involved into development of Firmware for our modern Ethernet solutions. Our team takes active part in a full software engineering lifecycle including design, development, validation, integration and customer support, with a particular focus on software optimization for networking C, C++ and test automation Python, Perl, TCL.

Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science, or a degree in similar technical area or relevant experience.-Knowledge and hands on experience of Business Intelligence technologies including analytical and reporting tools e.g. MS BI as well as data management.
- Expertise of process characterization, qualification and troubleshooting is required.
- You need to demonstrate attention to detail and tolerance for ambiguity
- Ability & desire to coordinate stakeholder activities as needed.
- Ability to analyze processes and look for issues/improvements.
- Proven experience in working on SW projects in teams and across the full life cycle of software development.
- Troubleshooting, problem solving, multi-tasking, organization, and customer management skills are critical to success in this role.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with stakeholders of all skill levels.
- Excellent team work skills including ability to work with multiple and remote groups worldwide.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and a track record of problem solving with creativity and out-of-box thinking.
- Flexibility and maturity in facing uncertainties and changing priorities/responsibilities.
- Curiosity, agility in learning, improving, and innovating.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of software quality engineering methods.
- Experience with SQL based database, Python script and project management tools e.g. Jira, Rational SW, SCM tools.
- Knowledge of networking technology including Ethernet.
