The requirements of the development process are increasing
Vehicles have never been as safe, comfortable, responsive and efficient as they are today – a major achievement that benefits all road users. At the same time, however, this development presents engineers with a great challenge. Vehicle systems are becoming ever more complex and interconnected and can no longer be considered in isolation from each other.

Vehicle systems must be tested under realistic conditions, i.e. in scenarios, in the context of the whole vehicle. This has resulted in an increase in the requirements of the development process, making the calibration and validation of vehicle systems more and more complex.

Our aim is to ensure that you can virtually test your systems in the whole vehicle in realistic traffic situations, using an approach that is accurate in every detail. Your responsibilities will include:

• Your work will be primarily based in the Gothenburg region in Sweden after a 6-month orientation and training period in the company headquarters in Karlsruhe (Germany)
• Acting as a technical contact person for clients in the Nordic region as well as visiting trade shows and conferences
• Consulting and supporting clients during the implementation of CarMaker, TruckMaker and MotorcycleMaker
• Preparing and holding technical workshops for industry peers
• Analyzing and solving user challenges
• Acting as a liaison between the Product Management and Sales departments
• Continuous knowledge building with regard to customer applications
• Analyzing customer processes and requirements as well as developing solutions based on our products

Field Application Engineer Automotive, Nordics (m/w) EN Job Requirements

Your profile:

• Degree in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, computer engineering or similar qualifications
• Knowledge of at least one of the following fields: vehicle ECUs, vehicle dynamics, advanced driver assistance systems, powertrain, measurement technology and/or simulation technology
• Prior use of our simulation software within academic or industry projects is a plus
• Willingness and motivation to assimilate information outside of your area of expertise, and to apply it to new problems and challenges
• Approachable appearance as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Fluency in both Swedish and English is a requirement as we operate on a global level
• Willingness to travel
