ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
ASML - EUV Optical Membrane Architect Job Description
The candidate is responsible for the specification and development of the wafer stage optical membrane.
Job Description
- Optimize membrane layer stack, in close collaboration with pellicle competence team and membrane supplier;
- Improving reliability and robustness of the membrane and membrane mounting to secure optics lifetime projection optics, support particle control, and in the end secure system availability;
- Secure optical performance of the membrane including transmission, thereby seeking for gain in transmission and uniformity, all balanced with the membrane lifetime specification;
- Set requirements to the system design such that safe machine operation is enabled. This system design includes Flow and Temperature control architecture, Mechanical architecture, general machine integration sequence, diagnostics and system recovery;
- Support optimization of tooling and procedure for cleaning, including POB (Zeiss) cleaning, and WS sensor cleaning activities;
- Support CS in servicing the membrane and monitor membrane performance in the field;
- Technical management of a small development team for membrane development and for trouble shooting all kind of electronic, software or mechatronic issues encountered while installing, servicing, or replacing the optical membrane;
- Report technical progress towards the Program and Marketing and occasionally Sr. management and customers;
