ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
Our mission is to integrate and drive the source performance of the scanner-source system until proven for high volume manufacturing at our customers. As part of a team that provides the specification and delivery of integrated EUV source solutions, you will be the “right hand” partner and advisor to the System Designer.
You will be challenged to translate scanner and customer application requirements into source design proposals for the EUV roadmap, coupled to ASML business drivers reflected in power, dose and Tin debris optimization.
We are exploring the emerging possibilities to apply advanced data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance learning and diagnostics capabilities and you will help bring this into practice.
Your data scientific expertise will be used to understand and optimize system performance and diagnostics capability, by analyzing population data of the growing number of systems in the field at customer sites.
Where deviations in expected system performance levels emerge, we need to identify leads to diagnose, repair and where needed improve performance on functional module level. You will need to combine your creative problem-solving abilities and your affinity with SW and data ingestion with analytical thinking, connecting to your peer EUV domain experts and IT.
You will need to prioritize and set your own goals. With your data science background you will be drilling down into narrow technology areas - including plasma and laser physics, optics and contamination, from where you can communicate the new specialist knowledge and advise System Designers on the technical feasibility of future new product or diagnostic strategies. Thus opening new career path opportunities.
Job Description
From your data scientific background you will drive the understanding, design and operational performance of complex source performance and diagnostic solutions within the boundaries defined by the system specifications, budgeted costs and planning.
Through your affinity with systems, data and SW programming you will help drive problems, and to setup an efficient analysis platform for the optimization of EUV source-scanner performance from the feasibility to customer operational phase of ASML product development.
