The competence of Mechanical Safety enables engineers to create a safe design without mechanical hazards, in accordance with ISO 12100 & SEMI S2 in line with the System Performance Specifications (SPS) Product Safety.
Job Description :
- Forming and leading the mechanical safety competence team which has to ensure the quality of the mechanical safety General Information Documents (GID) and the support in development projects.
- Supporting Project Leaders in their need for mechanical safety competence support: estimate resource needs to embed mechanical safety in the designs.
- Driving the growth of the mechanical safety competence maturity.
- Being the principle knowledge owner of the mechanical safety competence.
- Ensuring training of mechanical safety competence engineers to the desired level.
- Building and maintaining a network of local mechanical safety competence engineers that support the projects.
- Being in close contact with the (sub) competences for safety.
- Being first line of contact for mechanical safety competence issues
- Reporting the competence maturity in the monthly Safety risks competence meeting.
You will report to the Group leader and you are supporting mechanical projects on safety topics
ASML - Competence Lead Mechanical Safety Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering
- Team leader experience: plan activity, drive progress and build teams.
- Knowledge of safety risks, ISO 12100, Machine directive, hoisting, lifting, handling
- Experience in ASML & experience in mechanical engineering
- Broad technical knowledge in classical mechanical engineering and affinity with related disciplines
- Communicate effectively throughout different levels within the organization.
- Can get people on board (influencing without formal power/negotiating skills)
- Is able to manage a group of people to realize agreed deliverables
- Good social and communication skills
- Pragmatic attitude, provide solutions
