YOUR JOB
As a Service Engineer E&I, you will be responsible for carrying out commissioning work and solving faults in electric and electronic measuring and control systems. These are generally located on board offshore and dredging vessels.

OUR ORGANISATION
As a Service Engineer E&I, you will work at IHC Systems. This organisation develops and supplies standard and custom-built solutions for the efficient operation of dredgers and related vessels. These are deployed in the marine dredging industry and for the mining of alluvial and deep-sea resources. The electrical, electronic and IT systems involve anything from robust sensors to stand-alone and/or integrated systems for service, presentation, automation, hydrography and DP/DT, supported by training simulators. Global life-cycle support - either remote or on location - guarantees durability and reliability. The company, which has paved the way in its sectors for over 40 years, is based in Sliedrecht and employs over 100 people.

Service Engineer E&I Job Requirements

YOUR PROFILE
To be eligible for the position of Service Engineer E&I, you must have the following:

• a technical MBO diploma or equivalent and an ability to work at an HBO level 
• knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
• sound knowledge of electrical engineering, installations, automation, controls and instrumentation
• be prepared to work both inside and outside of Europe on a frequent basis
• a VCA-VOL certificate
• be self-reliant, service- and results-oriented, solution-focused and stress-resistant 
• excellent communication skills
• a proactive, creative and flexible attitude
• a quality-driven, pragmatic approach
• the ability to work effectively and flexibly with other company disciplines
• be creative in proposing solutions, and supervising work in accordance with professional and safety requirements
• you will act as an ambassador for our company in this role
• excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
