Project Manager Engineering Job Description

Duties

• Technical and commercial project management of complex plant projects in the feed sector (project size CHF >10 million) from the concept phase to handover to the customer
• Create the project master plan and monitor the implementation in a commercial, qualitative and safety-relevant way
• Coordination of the project process in terms of technical design, production, assembly, test runs and commissioning
• Project coordination, quality, deadline and cost monitoring
• Professional guidance of interdisciplinary project teams and coaching of project engineers
• Advising clients on finding solutions and supporting sales at the order acquisition or completion stage
• Regular customer contact and close cooperation with internal and external agencies
• Support during the sales& quotation phase

Project Manager Engineering Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Training as an engineer in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation (HF, FH), beneficial with a training in project management (IMPA-Certification)
• Minimum 5 years as Project Manager or proof of sufficient skills in an international environment in the area of plant engineering
• Technical understanding of machines and plants
• Solid Teamwork and leadership skills
• Strong planning and organizing skills
• Sound judgment and decision making skills
• Ability to anticipate, identify and manage risk
• Willingness to travel international approx. 20%
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in german and english, including the ability to deal with interfaces effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Industry-, as well as general business and financial knowledge
• Ability to be detail oriented without losing sight of the big picture
