Description of the assignment
You will conduct research on the installation activities of the Crossorter (sorting system of Vanderlande). The goal is to reduce the lead time of the installation of this system. In order to achieve this, the individual installation activities need to be researched in order to determine the bottlenecks. Based on these findings, the opportunities of improvement (on product level) need to be established and implemented. Therefore, R&D needs to be involved.

• Conduct research on the installation activities;
• Hunt down the activity/activities that require further research and improvement;
• Within these critical activities, zooming in on product(s) that can be improved (on both short term as well as long term);
Description of the department
The Loop Group is responsible for the execution of customer projects in the global markets for Airports, Warehousing and Parcel (sub)-systems. The department executes projects that vary from small system upgrades, to major complex systems, to small straightforward systems. We are often an internal supplier of the loop sorter subsystem to our various internal clients (customer centers), but also we deliver sometimes directly to third party system integrators.
