ASML - Main Quality Manager Job Description
As Main Quality Manager (MQM) you will be operationally responsible to support the Design & Engineering (D&E) departments in structurally realizing the Design Process & Product Quality objectives. Job Description The MQM is responsible for supporting the D&E organization to structurally improve & sustain the quality performance of the machine.The main tasks are:
Execution of Quality assurance (realizing improved processes)Process analyses resulting in process improvement proposals
- Execute data analyses (e.g. deliverables, process adherence).
- Execute assessments (e.g. interviews, bottlenecks).
- Executes deep dive studies (e.g. Customer issues, 8D, 5Why, ...).
- Identify risks at process deviations.
- Report on process adherence and gaps.
- Propose improvements to process owner.
Process design support, resulting in new/enhanced processes- Analyze the current situation with involved stakeholders.
- Define and issue change request to process owners.
- Represent the DUV interest during process design.
- Deploy the new/updated process including trainings, means & methods, controls.
Process consultancy/support- Support the process owner in DUV deployment (e.g. ASML Process Framework, cross-functional processes alignment).
- Develop and execute assessments.
- Support customer or internal audits.
Support of Quality improvements (contributing to new/improved X-departmental processes)- Contribute to improvement projects as DUV delegate.
- Support deployment & sustain improvements, to ensure local fit.
Execution of Quality support (resulting in embedded quality)- Be recognized as local quality champion e.g. by training/support of processes and related means/methods.
- Drive the quality culture e.g. by coaching on quality methods like FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, 5 times Why, QFD, Six Sigma, internal assessments.
- Lead by example e.g. by leading sessions to identify root causes of challenges identified (e.g., value stream analysis, 5 Why's analysis, Kaizen events, brainstorming sessions, etc.).
- Execution of Quality Control (resulting in improved deliverables)
Drive & Secure accountability for Design Process & Product Quality standards.- Support the Main Development Manager in securing the quality of the departmental deliverables.
- Secure quality standards/criteria adherence on process execution (e.g. FMEA, Design Reviews, Project Navigator, ... ).
Maintain Quality reporting infrastructure & execution- Define/execute Quality KPI dashboard.
- Monthly management reporting.
Follow up on inconsistencies- Drive the solving of inconsistencies via the accountable persons, in corporation with
- Main Development Manager (MDM).
Context of the position- The Main Quality Manager reports to the Sector Quality Manager.
- The Main Development Manager represents the sector D&E in the Product Team. The MQM operationally works together with the Main Development Manager in structurally realizing/sustaining the quality of the DE sector deliverables.
- The Main Quality Manager drives deployments in interaction with engineers, project leads and staff.
ASML - Main Quality Manager Job Requirements
Experience
- Academic, Bachelor or Master degree in quality management, engineering or science.
- Several years of experience in quality management or engineering, product and process development in research and development environment
- Experience in process analyses (error prevention, risks, gap finding and value stream) and redesign.
- Sound understanding of product development environment for technically complex products (knowledgeable of- and experience with the ASML Product Generation Process, D&E Handbook and tools/infrastructure like SAP, AIS, Cerberus)
- Experienced in Lean Six Sigma and quality methods and tools like e.g., value stream analysis, 5 Why's analysis, Kaizen, brainstorming sessions, problem solving techniques, FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, process assessments and audits.
- Knowledge of the basic standards (e.g. ISO9001)
Personal skills- Enjoys collaborating with individuals and organizations, maintaining open and honest communication to gain an understanding of quality “where the rubber meets the road”.
- Strong personal leadership, interested in the “world below the numbers”.
