Manage resources (typically around 20 - 30 designers, architect and project managers) in a group of professionals in a specific area of expertise on the aspects related to people, process and product.
Job Description
- Act as competence or function owner. A function owner is accountable for all developments that take place within his/her function;
- Define and implement the competence/function and resource roadmap for the group;
- Interact with project leaders in the development programs and secure allocation of staff in line with program needs. Review project plans and proactively support project realization;
- Manage the delivery of designs that meet the requirements stated by the ASML product development programs. This involves activities such as reviews of technical solutions proposed, technical product documentation produced by the group and project management decision documents and coaching of group members;
- Work with co-developers and external staff supplying parties to enable and manage development projects on site at ASML or at co-developers sites;
- Ensure quality of operation of your group by reviewing of technical solutions proposed, procedures, documentation delivered by the group.
Context of the positionAs a Group Leader of a discipline or functional group within the cluster Development & Engineering Performance & Integration you lead and manage a group of professionals in a specific area of expertise. The holder of this position reports to the director of Performance & Integration Sensors.

ASML - Group Lead Development & Engineering Sensor Performance Job Requirements
Experience
- Masters or PhD degree in a relevant discipline, such as Applied Mathematics, Physics, Optics, Chemistry, Mechatronics or Precision Engineering.
- At least 10 years experience in developing, integrating and testing complex multi disciplinary products;
- Solid theoretical and experimental experience in disciplines like data management, modeling, simulation, software development and algorithms;
- Experience in managing a group of technical professionals (at least 15 FTE).
Personal skills- Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills;
- Ability to work in an international multicultural setting;
- Ability to provide technical direction, motivate and convince a team of professional designers;
- Entrepreneurship and initiative in a technically complex and very dynamic environment.
