Our team
Within TME Production Control – Manufacturing Planning, Strategy & Business Planning (SBP) ensures the planning of a stable, profitable manufacturing business for Toyota in Europe by proposing an optimised utilisation of existing plant assets & resources and by maximizing plant competitiveness and performance.
Main role & responsibilities of SBP are as follows:
- Act as a coordination function between European Manufacturing Companies (EMCs) and all TME Manufacturing functions for every strategy and corporate related activities,
- Establish the TME Mid/Long term strategy for European vehicle & unit production and key component supply,
- Ensure optimised supply of vehicle and units to support TME future sales plan is in place and plan the appropriate production capacity accordingly,
- Proactively manage pan-European manufacturing improvement activities by promoting cross-functional collaboration between all EMCs and TME Manufacturing supporting functions.
Your responsibilities To support our activity we are looking for a Manufacturing Strategy & Business Planning Graduate.
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following content:
- Make vs. Buy studies for key components for the EMCs: ensure best decision is made between in-house or out-sourcing future part production, in line with Global Toyota standards and key factors e.g. available machine capacity, cost benefit or long term sustainability of supply,
- Pan-European Manufacturing improvement activities: set & follow-up key manufacturing Performance Indicators (KPIs) and contribute to overall activities which are supporting these improvements,
- European Manufacturing Self-Reliance management: summarize and prepare the TME annual reporting to Global Toyota highlighting all considered improvements to level-up pan European manufacturing performance.

Your profile
By joining SBP you will integrate a leading group with strong influence on TME Top Management as well as EMCs. This position will enable you to gain a wide view on Toyota operations in Europe. This implies the following skills and business background:
- Recent technical graduate in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering), ideally complemented by a business background
- Max. 18 months work experience (excluding internships or student jobs).
- With exposure to international environment, through study or work experience
- Passionate about the automotive industry in general and by vehicle production in particular,
- Business minded – you fully grasp the profit implications of an alternative or a technical choice,
- You can deal with uncertainty and you are able to proceed without grasping complete information, with an open and flexible mindset
- Excellent presentation skills, as you will be reporting also to higher level within the organisation
- Strong analytic and numerical skills, very detail oriented
- Proactive attitude and multitasking competences
- Tenacious in nature and taking deadlines very seriously
- Mature personality capable of liaising with all levels of the organisation
- Strong PC literacy, and good knowledge of Excel/Access
- Fluent in English, any other language will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of Japan or an experience in a Japanese environment is an asset.
- You are willing to travel (up to 20% of your time in both EMCs (Europe) and TMCorporation (Japan)
- Driving license valid for Europe is an asset
