Microtechnology Engineer / Physicist Job Description

Your Responsibilities

• Engineering Services as testing and characterization of opto-mechanical components, eg. fibers, laser collimators, thermal stabilization of alignment parts
• Measurement and Analysis Services, eg. radiometry, laser beam analysis, measurement with wave-front sensor, testing active/passive components relevant for optoelectronic sensorics (VOA, LVDT, MEMS), “25nm”-measurements for bearing technologies, contactless distance measurement (expansion coefficients of adhesives, electronics boards, bimetal, and much more)
• Maintaining photonic infrastructure for fiber and microassembly
• TRIMO assembly technology for equipment and prototypes
• Collaboration in technology projects of Hexagon divisions

Microtechnology Engineer / Physicist Job Requirements

Your Competencies

• Academic education in physics with knowledge in optoelectronics and/or photonics (MSc, Phd)
• Practical experience associated with micro-technology, characterization of precision mechanical systems
• Excellent skills and experiences in optics and photonics, lasers ad detectors
• Supporting R&D peoples with a positive and pro-active problem solving attitude
• SW-knowledge in MATLAB, Solidworks and employment for peripheral instruments
• Able to build strong relationships with R&D people as to gain in-depth understanding of technical challenges and constraints
• Excellence in establishing technical reports
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
