ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
ASML is leading in the worldwide development, production and sales of high end lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. We make machines that make chips; the hearts of the devices that keep us informed, entertained and safe; that improve our quality of life and help to tackle the world's toughest problems.
We build some of the most amazing machines that you will ever see, and the software to run them.We offer a highly complex, precise and dynamic technological context. Our lithography systems operate at the edge of what is technically possible: we control positioning to the nanometer and temperature to the millikelvin, even as modules in our machines accelerate faster than a fighter jet at takeoff!
Building the hardware that is capable of such features is just half of the equation: we also need the software that can realize that performance, in real time, every hour of every day, 365 days a year.
Job Description
At ASML, software engineers work in three different software expertise fields. Next to the embedded software that controls our machines, we also build pure software products - based on sophisticated simulations of our lithography systems - that help our customers to optimize chip designs for manufacturability.
A third type of software, finally, is the glue between different machines: taking in measurements, calculating the necessary corrections and feeding them back to the lithography system to keep its performance stable.
The event on October 6th is your chance to meet and discuss with most of our managers from the biggest groups of our Software cluster: Machine Control & Infrastructure, Extreme Ultra Violet Source, Embedded Software, Metrology, Software Architecture & Integration.
