ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.

Job Description
Our customers make computer chips. To do so successfully our scanners need to match the image our customers intend to reproduce on their wafers as closely as possible. The closer the image created by the scanner resembles the intended image, the better the scanner imaging performance. You will own the expertise in how design choices in scanner Hardware and Software and choices in the application (such as scanner settings and resist processes), influence scanner performance.
You understand why and how Overlay & Imaging performance is important to our customers. You will drive the simulations predicting behavior of future resist processes and use their outcome to recommend design choices for the different ASML products. You will be closely involved in creating sensible and measurable Imaging specifications. You will direct development of tests, diagnostics and analysis tools, enabling us to verify, trouble-shoot and optimize scanner Imaging performance.
You will be a technical engineer in a group of people with similar competencies, working together to lift their know-how to new levels year-after-year, making sure to be prepared for challenges ahead. You will support roadmaps and competence management plans. You will also be part of a project team, working to meet a shared goal against challenging constraints, making sure that the right technical choices are made.Working at ASML as a Chemical Process Development Engineer is about being part of a dynamic, fast-paced community, facing unprecedented challenges at the forefront of technology together. You will find an open environment, offering myriad possibilities to take charge of your career, to be inspired, to have fun.
