Vanderlande – challenges in motion
We are looking for junior PLC Project Engineers for our Warehouse Automation Engineering department within Vanderlande.
Your position
We will train you to become a PLC engineer; among others, you will learn to create a design, programming (Siemens S7) PLC's, develop a testing plan, perform simulations, and commission the system you designed on site.
As PLC Engineer you'll design and program PLC controls meeting high quality demands on a project basis. During the commissioning phase you'll carry out functional testing of the PLC hardware and software. You'll also integrate these in the overall control system. This position involves regular on-site working to commission control and transport systems. Finally, you'll be responsible for project reporting to the Project Leader, and you'll provide on-site user training. During the project you'll closely monitor the available budget and the agreed schedule, and you'll take the appropriate actions when necessary.
Your department
The Project Engineering department is responsible for the execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical and controls) of our material handling systems are implemented. Working under the supervision of a Project Leader, the PLC Project Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers.
