Sales Consultant Job Description

Are you looking for a dynamic environment in which you can strengthen your career and daily work on technical/ commercial logistical challenges? Your positionAs a Sales Consultant, you will be working closely with the Business Development Manager and the Sales Engineer on activities regarding the project pre-contract phase to ensure a successful project sale. As part of the dynamic and multidisciplinary sales team, your goal is to identify and analyze the customer’s needs and transfer those into a successful sales concept.During the offer phase, you will have the responsibility to provide solutions regarding complex technical and business issues, especially data- and process analyses, and concepts. You will be the lead person to consult the client to find their best solution. As part of the sales team, you are responsible for making a competitive, high quality quotation. Within the team, you will be the lead person for concepts, the required project control algorithmic aspects and you will be involved in the handover phase to operations and the project implementation phase on site. Your departmentThe Customer Centre Warehousing and Parcel International (CC WP INT) is active throughout the world and provides support to other CC’s and branch offices within the Vanderlande organization. The Sales organization of WP INT is organized in 3 market segments: E-commerce / Fashion, Food and Parcel. In order to keep pace with the current and expected future growth, we are looking for a Sales Consultant in the Food team. Your contribution will further increase the Vanderlande market coverage, and successfully develop the Food market segment. Your profileAs a Sales Consultant you bring to the table:

• a Master degree in a technical program and a strong preference to work within a business to business environment;
• 7-10 years of experience with complex sales processes, preferably within the automated material handling industry;
• Strong analytical skills, you are able to create concept solutions based on your analysis and understanding of the customer’s logistic processes;
• Well-developed influencing skills, both internal as external;
• Strong communicational skills, you have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships;
• Experience in working within an international professional environment, preferably a project organization;
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written. Professional proficiency in a second language is a plus.
