Are you interested in challenging the business with insights they never had before? Do you like creating reports on very complex data from multiple source systems? Do you love working with ambitious colleagues who want to improve themselves every day?
Your challenge
This BI analyst vacancy has arisen due to the strong increasing demand for new insights. Together we further develop business and financial insights that add value to our strategy. Our reports are built at the request of the Board, the service- and project organization and the Finance community.
You will work together with the other BI specialists and analysts in managing the BI environment and providing optimal solutions for the internal Vanderlande customers. Your role consists of maintaining and developing a complex database, creating new financial and non-financial management reports based on the needs of the business. And you also have a strong focus on the front end of the process: you align with stakeholders, identify fields of improvement in core business processes, prepare presentations to create awareness and gain acceptance by end users.
You can actually create, build and maintain the whole BI environment and add value to the business with these new insights.
• Strong focus on developing and expanding data warehouse, data management and analytics
• Translate strategical and tactical demands of customers to BI solutions.
Your department
The BI Analyst will work for the Business Intelligence department (5 FTE), which is part of the Group Finance & Control (16 FTE). You will report to the BI Manager.
Your profile
• Master degree (focus area e.g. business intelligence, mathematics & statistics, engineering, finance) combined with 0-2 years of working or internship experience in an international and fast paced environment
• You are customer oriented, and have the capabilities to communicate on different levels in the organisation
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with relevant tools
• Passion and drive for finding new insights in vast amounts of data
• Business sense, translate insights into business value
• Team player with strong communication skills in technical and business domain
• You can help the team on the front-end and back-end of the application with your experience and all-round BI knowledge
• In depth-knowledge of PowerQuery, PowerPivot, DAX, etc of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Sharepoint, MS SQL server and Microsoft BI tools (SRSS / SSAS) is an advantage
• Fluent in Dutch and English, additional languages are an advantage
