Launch Manager Job Description

The chosen candidate will manage the planning, implementation and status reporting of a new product or tool launch within a core management team environment. He / she will coordinate the project team, which consists of people from all areas of Methode, suppliers and the client. The chosen candidate will be the customer interface with the company regarding the specific project.

Position Responsibilities:

• Preparing the project schedule to match the scope of the project using the Company’s product launch methodology (PDPLS) and updating the plan as it evolves;
• Agreeing the project budget, and then managing the project making sure the project has the resources and people necessary to get the project done on time and on budget;
• Identifying and minimizing potential risks to the project timeline and budget;
• Making sure all project team members understand what their responsibilities are;
• Reviewing the quality of the team’s work and any supplies or materials used by the team;
• Help allocate resources and assist in balancing limited people, materials and other resources.

Launch Manager Job Requirements

• A graduate degree.
• A combination of technical background and experience from which critical knowledge and abilities can be acquired as necessary.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively at all levels within the organisation.
• Willing to travel and to work non-traditional business hours.
• Eager to learn.
