We are looking for a degree educated engineer with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) system performance evaluation experience, ideally with Space Weather and Air Traffic Management (ATM) know-how, who wants to take a leading role in the development of new activities for the Single European Sky and other initiatives for transportation.
Responsibilities/Duties
- You will take a leading role in European projects as part of our growing and diverse team, modelling and simulating navigation systems for performance evaluation purposes, and contributing to business development
Qualifications/Experience
- A university degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years Systems Engineering experience with GNSS
- Experience with SESAR would be desirable
- Initial Project Management experience would be desirable
Essential Skills
- GNSS space segment characteristics
- Ground segments for popular GNSS
- Understanding of CDMA signals and propagation medium related effects
- 3D absolute and relative positioning
- Understanding of navigation performance measures
- Navigation concepts such as RNP, SBAS and GBAS, and their applications
- Strong analytical skills
- Teamwork
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
Desirable Skills
- Understanding of ATM Systems and Operations
- Knowledge of validation methodology
- Experience working in a European environment
- Database structure design
- Certification processes
- Experience in ATM industry
