IT Technical Analyst Job Description

Joining the TUI Destination Services IT team as an IT Technical Analyst - On-Line IT you will be responsible for working directly with the On-Line Business, and potentially Source Market clients along with IT colleagues to capture and document ongoing functional requirements and specifications for Projects and Change Requests, ensuring the design, development, testing and maintenance of the On-Line Sales, Support and Payment platforms.

What you will be doing:
The Online Distribution team is ultimately responsible for the digital sales channels revenue results for all TUI customers travelling to leisure beach destinations around the world. 
The Online Distribution team focuses on optimizing the sales conversion in Retail, B2C and Contact Centre channels enabled by API integrations, B2B or B2C websites developed for each source market.  
Considering this, the On-Line IT Team must ensure a fast and accurate delivery of new IT functionality and features required within tight deadlines.

As a Technical Analyst – On-Line IT, you will be responsible for engaging with the On-Line Business to discuss and document ongoing functional On-Line systems requirements and the IT backlog of Change Requests and incidents to deliver a high level of service and support from On-Line IT team and external suppliers to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose.

You will manage requirements analysis, execute functional specifications and design, coordinate developments, testing and resolve incidents to ensure rapid project delivery and maintenance, always aligned and following the architecture guidelines proposed by the IT Solution Architect.
 

IT Technical Analyst Job Requirements

What we are looking for:

• Academic degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar area of knowledge.
• At least 5 years prior working experience as Technical Analyst within IT function, preferably in a well-known B2C company. Experience in Travel and Hospitality industry a plus.
• Development experience in Java (Spring, J2EE) Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Web Develolpment in Servlet, JSP, Javascripting and API. JQuery, AngularJS, Interfaces (REST, SOAP), WSDL and XSD formatting.
• Mobile and UX / UI expertise will be highly valued.
• Previous experience working as a project manager, Product owner, Scrum Master or being part of Scrum development team will be relevant.
• Strong API/ Integrations experience with significant requirements for TUI Source Market integration and multiple current and future external suppliers to integrate. We need someone to manage integrations to take care of the current and future ones
• You should be able to translate our business needs into IT functional requirements as detailed as possible and at the same time use layman terms so anyone can understand what we are looking for.
• Excellent English and Spanish language skills are mandatory. Other languages a plus
