Software Architect – IT TAB Job Description

The successful candidate will assume responsibility as a solution and application architect  reporting directly into the Architecture Manager.
 
We are looking for proactive people that thinks out of the box and can quickly provide smart solutions aligned with our business and other teams inside Global Hotelbeds Group IT.
 
Our platform is a High Performance 24x7 distributed solution based in Java Enterprise Edition building a SOA architecture.
 
The position is not intended to manage other people, although the candidate could technically lead developers in certain projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define the architecture for the new solutions being developed aligned to the standards. Also, generate new business proposals through technology solutions.
• Support the business analysist providing non functional requirements for new projects when needed.
• Support technical designers and developers to go forward with the proposed solutions either in projects or in business as usual.
• Actively collaborate in changing the standards and improve them when new better and smarter ways to do things are found.
• Mentor and train new developers in the understanding of the technology and the architecture of the already existing systems.

Software Architect – IT TAB Job Requirements

Must have:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with a similar role.

• Java, server side (Java Enterprise Edition, Spring).
• Java Application Servers
• Integrations: WSDL/SOAP, REST (JSON, XML).
• Database persistence: Oracle SQL, JPA, MyBatis.
• JavaScript (basic level).

• Enterprise Architect (user level)
• UML
• Object Oriented analysis and design
• Design Patterns
• Ability to work under pressure
•  Team player

• University Degree or higher in Technology or related field (highly valuated)
• High level of English (highly valuated)

• Angular JS and other in browser modern technologies for UI developments
• Mobility: Android and iOS. New mobility frameworks: React, Ionic
• NodeJS
• NoSQL
• PL/SQL

• Oracle Java Enterprise
• TOGAF certification
• Infrastructure or networking certifications such as ITIL or CCNA/CCNP
