Lead Engineer - Inertial Sensor Modules Job Description
You will be responsible for the algorithms development, technical roadmap, and maintenance of the Xsens Inertial Sensor Modules portfolio (Xsens MTi 1, 10, 100, 700 Series).
The main responsibilities include:
- Technical responsible for the Xsens inertial sensor modules portfolio
- Work in close cooperation with Product Manager and Director of Technology to:
- Define long term roadmap and application requirements for industrial sensors
- Translate market and application requirements into clear technical specifications
- Develop innovative motion tracking and signal processing algorithms for the industrial products portfolio
- Lead development projects, bringing innovative tracking solutions in actual products
- Guarantee quality assurance of tracking performance for industrial sensor modules
- Support product management and the sales team on technical questions, customer interaction/evaluation
- Lead and execute projects to customers, on time and within budget
- Active role in generating technical marketing material, including demos

Lead Engineer - Inertial Sensor Modules Job Requirements
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required. Ph.D. degree preferred
- Excellent academic record
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Deep understanding of signal processing, sensor fusion, and tracking algorithms required; familiarity with inertial sensors desired
- Excellent knowledge of Matlab/Python required; good knowledge of C/C++, embedded programming environment desired
- Self-driven, ambitious, great team working skills, capability to deliver high quality outcome meeting deadlines, solution oriented analytical thinking, flexibility in acquiring new knowledge
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
