Position and department
The Process Engineering department encompasses both the Baggage Handling and Warehouse, Parcel & Postal business. A relatively new and fast growing function within the Global Services arena, Process Engineering focuses on process improvement as a value adding service to our customers. In addition, PE is developing into an increasingly important function for internal process and system performance improvement. From optimizing performance of existing installations to incorporating the latest developments into new installations, Process Engineering is evolving internally into a business partner and externally a contributor to solid client relationships.With expanding business worldwide, the department is growing rapidly. It currently holds approximately 20 process engineers worldwide, with an expected total headcount of 30 by end 2017.
Role and objective
As Manager Process Engineering, you will be the driving force behind the continued development of the Process Engineering department. You will build a strong international team, manage customer opportunities and develop team competencies to fit the business needs.
With this team, you will be responsible for Process Engineering in the early days of a project life cycle till, the go live of a project and the service opportunities and challenges during the full operational life.Externally, you actively manage relationships with customers on (pro-active) process and performance improvement. You will create and expand your network with internal stakeholders (e.g. Service department, Project department and Sales) and with Vanderlande customers, thus attaining the next level of positioning in the Vanderlande organization.
