ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
Help ASML ensure its future profitability by generating and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining cutting-edge performance.
Job Description
The cost-savings measures will be generated within multidisciplinary teams where specialists and stakeholders from the complete supply chain are represented. Together with the teams you'll need to drill down to the real function of highly complex system components and develop cost-saving measures that maintain cutting-edge performance levels. You will then be responsible for transferring these proposals into the ASML organization and supply chain, and drive for completion of implementation by the project teams.
Context of the position
ASML produces some of the most complex systems in the world for highly demanding customers in the fast-moving semiconductor industry. To develop and build those machines, we work closely with an extensive supplier network. Cost is becoming an increasingly important topic, and cost reduction programs have been kicked off for all product platforms.
The targeted level of cost reductions calls for new ways of working, and ASML has created a value engineering group. Value engineers are part of a project team and report directly to the project leader.
You will be working closely with system engineers, cost engineers, supply chain engineers, architects and procurement account managers within ASML as well as suppliers.
University degree in a technical subject such as mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, optics, or physics.
Experience
5-10 years in a machine-building industry preferably including:
