ASML is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chip-making equipment.
Our vision is to enable affordable microelectronics that improve the quality of life.
To achieve this, our mission is to invent, develop, manufacture and service advanced technology for high-tech lithography, metrology and software solutions for the semiconductor industry.
ASML's guiding principle is continuing Moore's Law towards ever smaller, cheaper, more powerful and energy-efficient semiconductors. This results in increasingly powerful and capable electronics that enable the world to progress within a multitude of fields, including healthcare, technology, communications, energy, mobility, and entertainment.
Would you like to create innovative new technologies that push the boundaries of what is technically possible and become part of progress? Our Development & Engineering (D&E) department has the mission to define, develop and realize the industry-leading lithography solutions ASML is famous for. Responding to customer needs, multi-disciplinary teams take ground-breaking ideas from customer goal through technical concept to working prototype.
ASML has proven to develop technology that was regarded as impossible, and we are looking for people like you to help us push technology even further. In D&E, you will be working on the most complex production machines in the world and the software to run them – accurate to a few nanometers at incredible acceleration rates. They include a multitude of advanced optical and mechatronic modules along with application software and operating systems.
As a D&E team member you must be able to find the needle in the haystack, discover the last lost precision (fraction of a) nanometers. You need to be able to solve very complex issues and analyzing multi-parameter performance of our advanced products.
How can you play a part in this? Well, we would like to define your role and your level of responsibilities together. What are your strengths? What is your research background? Where do you see technological opportunities for ASML? What role suits you best? Let's sit down and define your customized role that fits both parties best.
For example: create new components / subsystems, integrating them into a functional lithography tool, testing and evaluating prototypes. Or develop new roadmaps to help move the industry forward. The pace of change in the semiconductor industry makes for a challenging environment. You will play a leading role in innovation with a strong focus on time-to-market, often starting new system development before the previous generation has reached the customer.
Challenged by a multi trillion semiconductor industry the product developed by ASML is a balancing act of the triple constrains: management of timing, scope and resources. The D&E teams have extensive contacts with leading research institutes, keeping up-to-date with the state-of-the-art in their respective fields. They also work closely with colleagues in Customer Support to ensure service-friendly designs. You will be working with the brightest minds in the industry, learning new things every day.
