IT Technical Solutions Architect Job Description

Joining the TUI Destination Services IT team as IT Solutions Architect - On-Line IT you will be responsible for working directly with the On-Line Business, and potentially Source Market clients along with IT colleagues to capture and document ongoing functional requirements and specifications for Projects and Change Requests and to translate those requirements into a viable solutions architecture.

What you will be doing:
The Online Distribution team is ultimately responsible for the digital sales channels revenue results for all TUI customers travelling to leisure beach destinations around the world. 
The Online Distribution team focuses on optimizing the sales conversion in Retail, B2C and Contact Centre channels enabled by API integrations, B2B or B2C websites developed for each source market.  
The On-Line IT Team must ensure a fast and accurate delivery of new IT functionality and features required within tight deadlines. 

As a Solution Architect – On-Line IT, you will be accountable for the global architecture of online projects and change requests ensuring that the solution is aligned with the business needs and that the solution fits within the architecture context defined by TUI Group Enterprise Architecture.
You will be responsible for engaging with the On-Line, Core and Backoffice IT Teams to specify IT solutions that satisfy the clients requirements to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose.  You will then liaise with Group Architecture and IT to conceive and agree an appropriate solutions architecture for the systems.
 
Moreover, you will support business analysts in translating business needs into technical specification and lead the proposal of a technical solution to satisfy a business need. You will coordinate with Group architects ensuring innovative design and effective integration and participate, support and review technical designs related to all project deliverables.

You will be responsible for assessing new On-Line Technologies & techniques to ensure our On-Line Systems are innovative, advanced and robust and evolve appropriately over time.
 

IT Technical Solutions Architect Job Requirements

• Academic degree in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar area of knowledge.
• Expertise of 3 – 5 years as a Solutions Architect within a well-known B2C Ecommerce company preferably within the Travel or Hospitality industries.
• Mobile and UX / UI expertise will be highly valued.
• Previous experience working as a project manager, Product owner, Scrum Master or being part of Scrum development team will be relevant.
• Strong API/ Integrations experience with significant requirements for TUI Source Market integration and multiple current and future external suppliers to integrate. We need someone to manage integrations to take care of the current and future ones.
• You should be able to translate our business needs into IT functional requirements and propose a viable Solutions Architecture.
• Excellent English and Spanish language skills are mandatory. Other languages a plus.
