ASML - Customer Support Performance Improvement Project Lead Job Description

As a Customer Support Performance Improvement Project Lead you will help the CS Field organization to meet the Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with ASML's customers at the agreed costs and with a sustainable work-life balance. You will have to turn identified improvement areas into a project and align the scope and deliverables with the main stakeholders. You will be responsible for managing the project from beginning till end and need to take into account that typically there is a significant change management component. A successful handover to the line organization at project closure is required to ensure achieved improvements are embedded in the Customer Support organization in a sustainable way. The scope of these projects can extend beyond Customer Support and can involve e.g. Logistics, Finance, Development & Engineering (D&E). Good communication with the CS Field organization and involved ASML departments in the Netherlands will be key to success.

Job Description

  • Set-up and drive performance improvement projects to close structural gaps in world wide (WW) Customer Service performance and/or to address issues that are hampering specific local sites to structurally meet the required performance;
  • Report on status and progress of these improvement projects;
  • Interact with and develop a solid working relationship with the CS Field organization to understand the real root cause behind structural gaps or for not meeting performance and to develop valued solutions to their service execution issues;
  • Apply change management to drive (a) team(s) towards successful and sustainable integration of identified solutions;
  • Ensure all deliverables are in place at the end of a project for the line organization to secure the achieved improvements are/stay embedded in their daily operation.

ASML - Customer Support Performance Improvement Project Lead Job Requirements

Master degree in a technical area (e.g. Physics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering).

Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in a semiconductor environment (within the area of lithography, patterning, and/or metrology) in an international setting;
  • ASML experience is very much preferred; Knowledge of ASML machines and the ASML CS Field organization is a plus;
  • Previous experience in working in performance improvement, change management, and/or cost reduction programs is beneficial;
  • Ability to lead and steer small teams which are spread out over different departments and geographical locations;
Personal skills
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills;
  • Able to set up and drive medium size projects (up to ~ 15 fte);
  • Able to build a network international & cross department;
  • Willingness to understand the real root cause behind performance gaps;
  • Strong drive towards solutions and getting them structurally embedded: acting decisively, being pro-active, taking responsibility, and applying change management strategies;
  • Able to drive, steer, and convince others up to director manager level;
  • Strong technical background;
  • Adequate English language skills in speech and writing;
  • Thrives in a large and dynamic organization with various stakeholders.
Other Information
  • Willingness to travel to ASML local offices worldwide within the projects as needed (~ 10-20 % depending on the project).
