Senior Engineer Body (m/f) Job Description

Work scope:

• Carry out comprehensive engineering studies
• Design of car body parts like body-in-white and also non sheet-metal body fitting parts such as isolations, insulations, covers, fixing etc.
• Prepare engineering documentation, bills of material and assembly structures
• Prepare documentation necessary to carry out simulation & tests and follow up results
• Project coordination with involved surrounding departments in Europe and in Korea (i.e. Assembly Team, Plant Engineering, Quality, Styling Department etc.)
• Continuous product improvement and optimization from first draft until mass production
• Liaison job with Korean mother R&D Centre

Senior Engineer Body (m/f) Job Requirements

• Degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering
• At least five years experience in design of car body parts (directly at OEM is an asset)
• If no OEM experience, at least practical experience working on projects for a car OEM
• At least three years continuous experience in design/modeling using CATIA V5
• Readiness to take responsibility for assigned projects(-parts) within given timeframe
• Good command of English language and willingness to travel
