Development Engineer Pre-Press Technology

The Pre-Press & Printing technology team within the Tetra Pak Packaging Material organisation has the responsibility to develop, maintain and improve the global specifications within digital Pre-Press and Printing. We are the global owner of the Tetra Pak equipment and processes for Pre-press and Printing.
Our role is to provide competence, delivering Pre-Press & Printing solutions within projects, ranging from package development through process and equipment development to installation projects. We are also responsible for a specification maintenance program; securing specifications are up to date and available for all users. We also work with Product Maintenance, Product Creation, Industrialization and Order Fulfilment activities. We are now looking for a skilled Development Engineer within the area of Digital Pre-Press technology.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden with approximately 30% of travelling.
Main responsibilities
To be successful in this position you have a strong personal drive with the ability to meet set targets. It's essential that you are a team player and realize the importance of sharing your knowledge with the team. Communication skills and the ability to adjust to different personalities, backgrounds and cultures is important as you will be working cross functional with different projects and nationalities. In addition to this you need to have a very structured analytical approach and good reporting skills.
- Preferably you have a degree in Pre-Press Technology and/or a Master of Science in a relevant Engineering field.
- You have at least 5 years experience in working with Pre-Press Technology with focus on Flexography digital Pre-Press & workflows.
- Relevant experience would be working in a repro software/hardware company, a printing company or a repro company.
- We believe that you have knowledge and experience from printability evaluation, colour management, workflow principles, job preparation knowledge covering both theoretical and practical aspects.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
