Maintain and modify the implementation of the ASML engineering IT infrastructure, in co-operation with the internal customer and Solution Team System Architect. Focus on Electrical Engineering and Multi-disciplinary Engineering processes.
Job Description
Take ownership of the engineering hardware infrastructure as provided to the internal customer. The engineering environment is used by more than 500 development engineers. Participate as a technical expert in running projects within the IT CCP ST HW group (Competence Center Product Solution Team Hardware). Define improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users. Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents related to the hardware infrastructure. Strong partner in discussions with solution team system architect and other stakeholders within the internal customer departments. Drive progress towards internal and external partners for implementation of improvements Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.
Context of the position
The IT division supports information management, infrastructure and key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML's internal and external activities.
A sub-department within the IT organization is IT CCP (Competence Center Product); this department is responsible for the infrastructure and tooling for ASML's development organization. Within IT CCP three development disciplines are represented: mechanical, electrical and software engineering.
The Unix/Linux Infrastructure Engineer will be active in the electrical engineering group.The Unix/Linux Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the Architecture team which is part of the electrical engineering group (appr. 15 fte). This group is responsible for the (electrical and multidisciplinairy) engineering environment for ASML's product lines and maintains, supports and further develops this environment.
At least Bachelor level or equivalent in IT and / or engineering.
Experience
Unix / Linux Infrastructure experience is a must. No less than 5 years of relevant and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments.
Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
o Development environmentso Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure.
o Multiple virtualizations techniques
Knowledge of Engineering Applications (Electrical, FEM, CFD) is a pre.
