Team/division description
 
The Production Engineering Advanced Technology Team is responsible for identifying and developing emerging European technology for application in global Toyota. Our department collaborates strongly with Toyota Motor Corporation (Japan) and has a strategic role in the early identification of European technical trends and the planning and implementation of research projects in the field of production systems.
 
Your project
 
Within a multi-disciplinary team you will focus primarily on the innovation of production systems for next generation engines, motors, and transmission. Your role will be to investigate, evaluate, and develop production technologies that have the potential to simultaneously deliver a breakthrough both to the product and to the manufacturing plant.
You will also be responsible for the research, evaluation, and application of measurement systems to support production system development and deliver superlative product performance.
 

Powertrain Innovation and Production Engineer Job Requirements

Your profile :
 

• You hold a Masters degree or high level Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, automotive engineering or materials related field
• You have 2 years of industrial experience in related field preferrably
• You have background in metal processing (forming, casting, sintering), heat treatment and surface modification, through-process chain material evolution, and respective process chain simulation
• You have background in measurement technologies for geometrical accuracy, surface topology, internal porosity, running behaviour, liquid and gas flow, and respective simulation technology is a big plus
• You are analytical, flexible, and creative
• You are able to communicate efficiently with strong verbal and written skills
• You can evolve in an international environment and are able to present complex topics
• You are able to efficiently analyze and summarize vast information to enable efficient decision making by project stakeholders.
• You posess strategic skills and personal skills for building and maintaining industry-academia relationships.
• You are willing to travel inside Europe and to Japan.
• You are fluent in English (TME business language)
