Analytical Project Professional Job Description
The Analytical Project Professional is responsible for developing, leading, coordinating, guiding and/or execution of analytical projects. From ideation/inception, investigation and implementation of the intended functionality and to the point of handover to (local) manufacturing-, technology and/or analytical teams. This includes projects to modify, expand or build laboratories.
Job responsibilities:
- The Analytical Projects Professional leads, executes or guides selection processes around offline/at-line/in-line/on-line/in-situ analytical technologies/equipment to significantly enhance the value added use of new, modern, analytical capabilities in existing and new chemical processes across EPCD plants
- The Analytical Projects Professional provides analytical expertise across various Business Units where justifiable and acts as subject matter expert in case of significant analytical problems.
- The overall expectation of the Analytical Projects Professional is to provide professional (smart and fast) sustainable solutions via project management and StageGate approach.
Analytical Project Professional Job Requirements
Education/Qualifications:
- Academic degree in Analytical Chemistry or similar directions;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry (in both routine and research & development environment;
- In-depth knowledge of, and experience in, a broad range of analytical techniques; includes: spectroscopy, chromatography and wet lab techniques (e.g. titration and colorimetry);
- Significant theoretical and practical knowledge and hands-on experience with on-/inline analytical techniques (especially organic spectroscopy (e.g. NIR)
- Hands-on experience with the installation of analytical equipment (spectrometers, chromatographs, titroprocessors, etc.)
Competencies:- He/She has the skills, drive and attitude to function, communicate and operate with all involved functions ( all levels)
- Good knowledge of project management and understanding of analytical chemistry & technologies, inclusive relevant parts of production processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and appropriate level of natural authority and the skills, drive and attitude to function, communicate and operate with all involved functions
- Requires a considerable degree of creativity, originality, and ingenuity with regard to analytical;
- Track record of experience with (analytical) project management and demonstrable result-driven focus;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Stress resistant.
