Drone Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f) Job Description

About the job:

We are Intel's unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) team and we need YOU to make our products fly! Formed by a recent acquisition, we are a small but successful startup within Intel and operate in a highly dynamic and largely independent environment.

As a mechanical engineer you will be responsible to develop early prototypes to serial products. You utilize experience and expertise to solve complex design challenges found in weight-optimized injection molded parts. Since we are able to operate like a small independent unit within Intel, we offer flat hierarchies, fast decision making and great atmosphere combined with the benefits of a competitive compensation.

Your tasks will focus on:

• Evaluation of prototypes
• Design of mechanical components for drones or small UAVs in CAD (SolidWorks):
• Injection molded parts
• Foam parts
• Thermoformed parts
• CNC machined parts
• Integration of electronic components
• Sourcing of components
• Transfer of products into manufacturing

Drone Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f) Job Requirements

Ideally you have:

• Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years working experience in CAD of consumer products
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the design of injection molded parts
• Experience in drones
• Proven track record of released products
• Fluent in German and English, both written and oral
