About the job:

We are Intel’s unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) team and we need YOU to make our products fly! Formed by a recent acquisition, we are a small but successful startup within Intel and operate in a highly dynamic and largely independent environment. 

You will be leading a growing team of 6 electronics engineers building and enhancing solutions for current and future customers. Starting from the first product idea, your team members will be working in highly integrated and cross-functional projects to design, implement, program, produce and integrate electronics into our UAV systems. Your team will shape one of the most exciting trends in the industry, creating products for diverse and highly sought-after solutions. Since we are able to operate like a small independent unit within Intel, we offer flat hierarchies, fast decision making and great atmosphere combined with the benefits of a competitive compensation.

Drone Electronics Engineer Lead (m/f) Job Requirements

Qualifications:

We are looking for a passionate, self-starting individual with a wide focus and the ability to grasp the big picture. You need to manage several interfaces to project management, marketing / sales and other development functions to align on development goals, resources and strategy. At the same time, you need define and improve effective use of development processes, quality assurance methods, tool use and project management. Coaching the team and being an effective sounding board is essential.
Ideally, you have

• B.Sc. or M.Sc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years experience designing and layouting electronic circuits, ideally in Altium
• Minimum 5 years experience in embedded software development
• Minimum 3 years experience with managing a team
• Ideally experience in flight system design
• Proven track record of released products
• Fluent in English and German, both written and oral
