Vanderlande – challenges in motion
As a Sales Engineer, you will operate in a dynamic and highly professional organization. You get the opportunity to develop yourself and to see many customers around the world in an environment that enables you to be entrepreneurial and to take initiative.
You support the sales manager in pre-bid, bid and final closing phases. You will work on various projects in various sales phases simultaneously with the aim to offer what the customer values and to eliminate what is not explicitly valued. To do so you steer an internal sales support team (procurement, planning, concept design, controls, etc.) and establish the most competitive proposal.
You connect design choices with price consequences and you ensure that the selection of our solution based on the best combination of both factors. The Sales Engineer is responsible for organizing workshops with - and preparing and presenting technical/commercial content to the customer.
Your department
Vanderlande is the market leader in baggage handling system technology. The Sales Engineering department is amongst others responsible for the translation of customer requirements in competitive designs, generating quotes and other sales documents as requested in tender processes, calculating prices, analyzing risks and opportunities and supporting sales managers in front of the customer and/or consultant by giving technical presentations.
At the Sales Engineering Department, it is all about understanding the requirements of the customer, doing what is needed to win the project and ensuring that what is offered is both competitive and feasible in terms of costs, solutions and planning.
