To join our team in the Netherlands we currently seek a technically skilled and highly professional 

3D digital modeler and texturer

This is a unique opportunity to convert your own digital designs into pieces of dramatic visual theatre that will be seen and enjoyed by millions of people. This requires you to combine a powerful imagination and a keen eye for detail, with a strong grasp of real-world geometrical and structural possibilities and risks. Some experience in the event industry and spectaculars, along with a practical understanding of their possibilities and limitations is a bonus.

Airworks is currently located in Weesp, 15km from Amsterdam, but we plan to relocate to Amsterdam in the future.

3D Digital Modeler and Texturer Job Requirements

Technical background and requirements:
You have studied 3D design to a high level, and are a competent 3D all rounder. You are skilled as a draughtsman and have a good understanding of colour and painterly illusions.

You are an Adobe Photoshop expert and are experienced with the following programs:

• Cinema4d or similar
• Z-brush or similar 3D sculpting software
• Vector based 2D drawing programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Coreldraw

We work almost exclusively with cinema4d to construct, texture, light and render our 3D models, experience with this piece of software is a huge advantage to any applicant.

3D thinking:
You have the ability to work out a 3D object in your head and visualise its rigging, and environment. This requires a good grasp of geometry and mathematics.

2D draughtsmanship:
You have developed your artistic skills and can draw and paint realistically and can create realistic unique textures. You have a good understanding of colour and how painterly illusions work.

Pattern making:
Ideally you have some previous experience in sewing or pattern making. If not, you will be expected to learn and understand the principles.

Beyond these artistic and technical attributes you are a flexible team player and a quick learner, adept at picking up new skills. You can also excite others about your ideas, communicate them effectively, and enhance existing ideas. 

You might occasionally be expected to visit and/or participate in on-site installation. A good command of the English language is essential.
