Business Intelligence Developer Job Description

What you will do

As a Business Intelligence Developer in the Data team at Catawiki you will focus on optimising the data warehouse, modelling data and developing various ETL processes. In this role, you will be modelling and transforming data from a variety of sources (MySQL Databases, CSV files, Restful APIs) so we can perform queries and calculations quickly and effectively. The data team use a variety of open source technologies e.g. PostgreSQL, Mondrian & MDX, Java, Python (NumPy / SciPy / Scikit-learn), etc.

Business Intelligence Developer Job Requirements

Who you are

• A quantitative background in a field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics/Economics or Computer Science, preferably with a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL (and with querying databases using MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• You are comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of Postgres, Ansible, Python and PHP are desirable but not a pre-requsiite.
